We intend to open several 3 bedroom children's homes within the northwest of England. Our first home registered with Ofsted in July 2011, is located in the Sefton area of Liverpool. Silsnorthwest is committed to constantly meeting the changing needs of the service to young people, and set up by the current Directors to offer accommodation to young people leaving care and making the transition easier for them. we will always be happy to discuss any individual cases. In the following pages, we give greater details of the services currently provided, Statement of Purpose, a Virtual tour section, referral details and contacts. Director of Services: Mr. Geoffrey Furness B.A ( Hons ), Cert PFSGeoffrey a property developer and financial advisor from Liverpool, Currently he has 37 properties. He has in the past been involved in refurbishment of local properties and has a team of builders, Both Directors are determined to open at least 4 children's homes over a 2 year period. Director of Operations: Lola ThomasHas a wealth of experience in looking after children/ young people, holding a current skills to foster certificate and trained to NVQ level 111 she successfully completed 'form F' and went to panel in January 2008, she has been approved for 4 placements age from birth -1. Lola has also completed mother and baby training in February 2009. Prior to looking after children under 16 she had worked in the Sefton area looking after homeless teenagers, this involved, preparing them for independent living, which involved a lot of life skills such as hygiene, cleaning, cooking, budgeting, debt management, and helping them with emotional needs .
